Government Affairs

AGC San Diego has a high-profile position in the "political arena" at the local, regional, state, and national levels. AGC's Government Relations committee develops positions on a variety of key legislative and policy issues.

The association members meet regularly with the following agencies:

Caltrans
City of San Diego
County of San Diego
Navy - NAVFAC SW
San Diego County Airport Authority
San Diego Unified Port District
San Diego Unified School District

The PAC committee interviews and endorses candidates, and raises funds to support those candidates, as well as critical infrastructure ballot measures.

2024 - New Year Brings New Laws

On January 1, 2024, most legislation that was passed into law in 2023 will be enacted. As a contractor and a company doing business in California, you will be impacted by several of these laws in 2024 and beyond.
