Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) This two-day, instructor-led virtual course provides an overview of the Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) quality control/quality assurance system used on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) projects. The course focuses on construction quality management principles and planning processes designed to prevent deficiencies, reduce rework, improve quality, and support successful project delivery.
The course offers prospective QC Managers/ Administrators the opportunity to satisfy the CQM-C training requirements specified in most USACE and NAVFAC construction contracts. This course must be taken and the final test must be passed by any person aspiring to be the QC Manager/Administrator or alternate. The course must be taken within 45 calendar days of the award of a construction contract. The Contractors Quality Control (CQC) requirements and the Governments Quality Assurance (QA) roles are reviewed. A course certificate will be awarded to those who satisfactory complete the training and pass the final exam. Only courses taught by Army Corps and NAFAC-sponsored instructors and their valid-issued certificates are recognized by NAFAC and USACE. At this time any person that needs to recertify must attend a class. Course Format & Schedule This course is conducted live online via Zoom over two days, from 8:00 AM to approximately 3:30 PM Pacific Time each day. Training includes instructor-led instruction, course materials, participant interaction, and a final examination. A mandatory technology check and course orientation will be held the Friday prior to training from 9:00 AM–9:30 AM Pacific Time. During this session, participants will review Zoom functionality, address technical questions, and receive important information regarding the attendance, participation, technology, and examination requirements for successfully completing the course. Participants must have reliable internet access and a computer equipped with a camera and microphone to participate in this online training (No Exceptions).
