AGC Scholarship Foundation & EGCA Foundation, Inc.   

The EGCA Foundation, Inc. board is charged with the perpetuation of various annual industry college/education scholarships. The board is proud to continue this scholarship program; established by the Engineering & General Contractors Association (EGCA) of San Diego, with their members' generous support.

Founded in 1952, the Engineering & General Contractors Association (EGCA) represented general engineering contractors in San Diego County - those doing sewer, water, storm drain, utilities, grading, paving, asphalt, concrete, and road building for public and private work throughout San Diego and beyond. Many are second and third generation family-owned companies. The EGCA became part of the Associated General Contractors San Diego (AGC) in 2012. 

The Purpose of the Scholarship Program:

• Community Benefit - available to AGC members, their employees, and the community in an effort to enhance the educational level of the greater community.
• Create Qualified Local Talent and Future Leaders, with maximum assistance to those who wish to enter the construction industry and related fields.
• Honor the contributions of significant local Industry Leaders - to inspire the greater community with reminders of past leaders who exemplify good citizenship and stewardship.

Up to three $3,000 Scholarships offered to students currently enrolled or who have applied to and been accepted in the SDSU J.R. Filanc Construction Engineering & Management Program.
