Contractors Face New Laws in 2007
On January 1, 2007,
all legislation that was passed and signed into law last year will be
enacted. As a contractor, and a company doing business in California,
several of these laws will have an impact on the way you do business in
2007 and beyond.
We have attached a
four-page summary from our Legislative Advocate in Sacramento that
provides a brief description of each bill. The descriptions are not
intended to cover every aspect of the legislation - only the
highlights.
the attached document in Acrobat (PDF).

the attached document in Word (DOC).
If you have specific
interest in any of the bills, please access the Internet at
www.leginfo.ca.gov. Click on "Bill Information", and under
"Session" click on "(2005-2006) Prior", then type in the bill number.
If you have any questions or difficulty, please contact Brad Barnum,
Vice President Government Relations, at 858-558-7444, extension 103 or
at
