CONTRACTORS FACE NEW LAWS IN 2012

On January 1, 2012, most legislation that was passed into law in 2011 will be enacted.  As a contractor and a company doing business in California, several of these laws will have an impact on the way you do business in 2012 and beyond. The descriptions below are not intended to cover every aspect of the legislation - only the highlights. It is recommended that specific bill language be reviewed for complete details.  Generally, unless the legislation specifies a different effective date, all legislation takes effect on January 1, 2012.
